Conferences & Seminars

Javier Carrillo, Professor of Economic Environment, was invited at the end of March to give a presentation at the 2nd Research Seminar on Innovation Systems, Complex Systems and Sustainable Development. This is the second in a series of research seminars on complexity economics and sustainable development supported by the UK Environment Agency and the UK Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC). The first research seminar was held at Oxford University in November 2008 and this year’s seminar was hosted at the Free University of Bozen (Italy), where Carrillo presented the paper “System Transition: Concepts and Framework for Analysing Energy System Research and Governance”. This paper was the first to result from the project “Governance and Research of Nordic Energy System Transition (GoReNEST)”, funded by Nordic Energy Research, a joint initiative of Nordic governments.
