The Hispanic Studies Department at IE University, headed by  Dr. Santiago López Navía, is participating in the First Cervantista Research Award “José María Casasayas”, along with the Association of Cervantistas and the University of Castilla-La Mancha.

The Award, summoned across the world, is organized by the City Hall Of Argamasilla de Alba (Ciudad Real), and sponsored by the Board of Comunidades of Castilla La Mancha and the County Council of Ciudad Real.

The Award, which is granted bi-annually, goes to either the best doctoral thesis to have been defended in the last two academic years, or to the best research piece on the life and work of Cervantes. Papers must be presented before September 29th, 2009 and the ruling will be delivered January 20th, 2010.
